The program, approved by the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council, will govern the training of apprentices in the Fire and Burglar Alarm Industry and qualify persons for installing, maintaining, repairing and inspecting life safety equipment.

It will provide a plan of approved training that will equip apprentices with the knowledge of what is expected as a journey level technician.

The program will assure the employer, fire service, law enforcement and private citizens that a proficient worker may be obtained and provide the public with the highest possible grade of products and service in conformity with approved practices of safety and skilled craftsmanship.
