2009 Scholarship Winners

Scholarship for Children of Law Enforcement and Fire Service Personnel

This scholarship award is a small way for our industry to say thanks to our very dedicated Public Safety Community. Margaret Spitznas (WBFAA President) & James Templeman (Treasurer) proudly presented $2,000 each to our Annual Essay Scholarship Winners. Each year WBFAA presents this scholarship to two students.

$2,000 Law Enforcement Winner: Brian Emmett, son of Colin Emmett, Bellingham Police Department.

$2,000 Fire Service Personnel Winner: Rebecca Anderson, daughter of Gregory Anderson, Seattle Fire Department. Rebecca received an additional $500 and her application was submitted to the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association for entry into the national contest.
